Stunning antique locket, oval glass purple stone in the center with paste rhinestones. Inside the locket has the original frames and covers for both sides and is in beautiful clean condition. It is marked W&H co. for the Wightman & Hough Company. They were based in Providence, R.I. and operated from 1856 until 1922. They were a well known and popular company for sweetheart necklaces. The locket is in great condition, the hinge works well and it has a secure closure.
It was unmarked for metal content but it is gold filled.
